Always Thankful

Everyday is a day of thanksgiving!  We do not have to wait until November to give God thanks.  During this season take the time to reflect on how good God has been. Try to count your blessings and you will notice they are too numerous.  We do not take time to say Lord I thank you. Many of our prayers consist of asking God for something. When we say thank you God, it informs Him we are grateful and appreciative.  “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  Did you take time this morning to say thank you Lord, or did you awake ungrateful, and unthankful?  Did you try to give God praise with this type of attitude and found it difficult because we approached God the wrong way?

- “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his court with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless his name”

-  “Oh that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men.”

- “Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”

Take time to focus on giving God thanks. Focus on who He is, stop looking at what we do and do not have, and thank Him for being God all by himself.
